After completing ICA’s 2012 Business Growth Strategy Series and our 2012 Summer Cohort, we are very pleased to announce that CORE Foods has been accepted into the ICA Portfolio! CORE Foods is a certified B Corporation on a mission to cultivate a healthier planet by empowering people with fresh food and resources.
CORE’s founder, Corey, went on a quest to get to the bottom of nutrition. He trained with elite athletes, researched the biology of food, and lived intimately with twelve tribes around the world. Remarkably, he discovered the most profound and consistent things we know about nutrition are really simple. At CORE, they apply this enduring wisdom to make convenient, healthy, food.
They treat other people the way we want to be treated. They are inspired by the inherent reciprocity in human history and community culture. And CORE believes they can rebuild our entire financial system to support each other by following the Golden Rule principles:
So uhhh, what’s a CORE Meal?
CORE Meals are fresh portable food. They’re as convenient as packaged products, but they’re not candy, they’re food. Each pack is one full bowl of raw oatmeal to-go, with 4 hours of stable, balanced energy. That’s it. Grab instead of breakfast when you’re in a rush, or after a workout for a solid recovery.
Founded on Earth Day 2010, CORE makes fresh food of uncompromising quality. They promote transparent, simple nutrition information and reinvest all profits to further their mission, support their leaders, strengthen our neighborhoods with charitable work, and empower food justice and health education. In short, they truly embody their ideals and values in every aspect of their business.
Who uses CORE?
Katy Bowman is a biomechanical scientist and the world’s leading expert in restorative exercise. She’s also a full time mom.
Josh Courage is a crossfit athlete and coach voted best personal trainer DC in 2009.
We look forward to assisting CORE to accelerate their business growth and creating more good jobs here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
